From the stage to the soccer field! One Direction member Louis Tomlinson joined a professional soccer team in London, signing a non-contract deal with the English second division soccer club, the Doncaster Rovers.

The 21-year-old boy band member said via Reuters, "This has always been a childhood dream of mine."

A statement on the club's website read, "Louis has always been passionate about football and wanted to realize a dream of signing for his home town club where he once worked on match days."

According to the team's site, he will be playing for the Development Squad in an upcoming fall charity game to raise money for Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice.

Claire Rintoul, Chief Executive at Bluebell Wood shared, "We’re absolutely thrilled and delighted that Louis has decided to continue his support for Bluebell Wood and promote what we do here. Being a local lad it’s great to see him giving back to the community and supporting our children with a shortened life expectancy."
